As 2016 quickly approaches and I begin to reflect on the past year, one thing I am reminded of is that I was created uniquely by God, and He loves me even when I feel inadequate. In a society where social media holds so much control, it’s hard not to play the comparison game. If only we had more likes. If only we had more followers. We filter our profiles to only show our good moments, hiding our shameful ones. But that’s not God’s plan for us. He wants us to live empowered, unashamed, and free

God has created each of us for a unique purpose. No matter what career path we choose, no matter how much money we make, no matter how many friends we have… we are all EQUALLY loved by God. There is nothing we can do to separate ourselves from His great love.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” -Ephesians 2:10

God often reveals Himself to us through His creation. His voice is in the wind; His handiwork is in the mountains He formed. He knows every blade of grass and star in the sky. Yet of all of His creations, He loves us the most, because we are made in His image.

As we look forward to the new year, we can rest in God’s unfailing love. He will be with us in triumph and in trial. We only have to trust Him, confidently following the path He has prepared for us.
